THOR Industrial Floodlight for high temperatures
Heat Pipe Heatsink
The mechanical parts are made of anodized Anticorodal aluminium. The heat sink used is the most effective developed to date in the electronics industry, thanks to the “HEAT PIPE” system: it is a closed heat pipe (hollow cylinder) of heat-conducting copper metal, containing a small quantity of refrigerant fluid, ethanol ; the rest of the tube is filled by the vapor of the liquid, so that no other gases are present. The system serves to transfer heat from the hot end to the cold end of the duct, through the evaporation and condensation of the refrigerant. This system of rapidly moving heat upwards guarantees that operating temperatures are maintained well below those reached by similar devices made with mechanical dissipation alone.
Optics with 60° and 90° opening
The projector is made of extremely pure aluminum (99.85%) with a special “BRITE” treatment (brightening and transparent anodization) for maximum light output. it is available with 90° and 60° opening angles.
LED with 150° TJ
The LED used is a CITIZEN COB with a junction temperature (TJ) of 150° which guarantees, in the most extreme conditions, high performance in terms of color rendering, energy efficiency and lifespan. Life expectancy and service life of LED L80/B20=75,000 hours; this means that upon reaching 75,000 hours, 80% (B20) of the LEDs have a residual luminous flux equal to or greater than 80% of the initial flux (L80). Available in neutral white (4000K) or cold white (5000K) light shades, the LED is connected with a mechanical holder fixing system without welding (Made in Germany by Bender+Wirth), through silicone cables for high temperatures. Thor reflectors are produced in three powers which guarantee 17,595 lm, 29,325 lm and 38,709 lm of real emission respectively; this allows the replacement of traditional 250W, 400W, 600W and 1000W lamps in a 1.1 ratio.
Closing system
The glass closing the projector is tempered, with a thickness of 5 mm and of the extra transparent type, to optimize light transmission; it is completed by an HT silicone gasket and a metal closing ring which guarantees the IP 65 protection degree.
Driver Invertronics
The power supply unit (INVENTRONICS brand) with IP67 protection rating is fixed separately, to be able to maintain it at a lower operating temperature. The power supplies are capable of operating from -40° to +90°.
Adjustment
It is possible to supply the luminaire with a DALI or 0-10V power supply to allow the programming of switching on and off and the control and management of luminous fluxes and powers.
Quality and guarantee
Each body is tested individually and provided with a serial number for total control over the quality of production and the traceability of the product itself. The THOR is guaranteed for 5 years at room temperature up to 80° with the possibility, upon request, of warranty extensions.
The THOR Series luminaires can be used as emergency lighting luminaires.
